Viruses invade cells in any case.

They're just less successful if there's a large number of antibodies already present in the body and the infected cells are destroyed by killer t-cells. The real threat is from infected cells signaling the immune system to attack other cells in the body. You can't control how much protection you build up from infection since the the dosage isn't controlled like vaccine.

One loses credibility when they say there are no hospitalizations from omicron. It appears to be very mild. Some have said Covid will become like the flu and annual boosters will be needed when we identify strains.
