the vaccines (and natural immunity though many refuse to acknowledge it exists) reduce COVID impacts to roughly normal cold and flu. Those without any immunity are at higher risk and the elderly and those with co-morbidities should continue to take appropriate precautions. However, travel bans, 24-hour testing, continued mask mandates in schools, and eliminating 'non-essential' surgeries seem to be killing a gnat with a hammer at this point. And I actually initially supported the travel ban but now that we have a pretty good idea that this isn't very dangerous, those should be lifted IMHO.
