8’s enough, no byes and 6 highest ranked Conferences & 2 max per Conference

Also, if you don’t play in a Conference Championship and are ranked in the top 4 of the teams not in a Conference Championship, you need to play the weekend of the Conference Championship games against another top rated team. You should absolutely “not” get an advantage for not playing in a Conference Championship game. So the highest ranked 4 not in a Conference Championship game should play each other that weekend. The highest ranked non Conference Championship team plays the 4th highest from that group and 2 should play 3 from that group, no not playing and benefiting!
