You have 20-30 minutes after drinking the prep kit fluids ...


and then you better not stray from the can more than 30-45 feet and God help whoever does your laundry if you trust a fart after that point in time. First batch will keep you on the toilet every 10-30 minutes for about 4 hours. Second batch will throw you back in but at that point you won't know if you are peeing or pooping. When I went in for my first one the nurse asked me if I had to use the bathroom and I replied 'Honestly, I have no idea'.

My advice is to make sure your phone is fully charged so you have something to do while fire-hosing your last 2 or 3 meals and a pizza you don't remember eating in 1997. I also suggest sleeping in a separate room with a separate bathroom if that will give your significant other any peace.

As Happy Dog stated, the procedure itself is nothing. It is essentially an awesome nap you didn't remember taking. I never had any issues afterwards and have worked the second half of the day both times.
