My take is similar to what CC said in his article today:


" He did not succeed, but he didn’t really fail, either, at least not in the traditional sense."

Fuente wasn't awful. He just didn't win as much as we wanted or expected him to. And there's no one specific reason for that. Some of it was on Fuente, some not so much. Like I said below the biggest thing for me was probably the inability to develop any kind of consistency at QB. We "recruited" multiple 4 star guys at QB and yet we started a different player almost every year and none of them seemed to really develop. But there's plenty of things you can point to and say "if this had been different then maybe things work out differently".
