I wasn’t at the UNC or Richmond game, but at the MTSU game, beer didn’t seem to be an issue. However, I am sure there will be moments when it becomes a problem. In the end, this is an arms race, and every additional $ helps. As far as the piped in music, Tech was one of the last ones to do it (and before they upgraded the sound system it was pitiful). I used to take pride that Lane didn’t need piped in music. However, times have changed. At times, it can get the crowd going. As far as rap music (which I actually feel it is a mix of music, not heavily rap), have you listened to a top-40 station? This is what people are listening to (perhaps just not you).

The spectacle of college football has definitely increased. Much like every other sport worldwide. I don’t believe it has anything to do with celebrating celebrity for celebrities sake. Just upgrading the package to keep up with the Joneses.

Having said all that, “get off my lawn, you damn kids”.
