Seriously though Livestock is the answer...seriously.

Put a small herd of cattle in around the pond, let them poop everywhere, while the cattle are wandering around they're stomping the poop into the ground. Before you know it the pond is all slimed and sealed.

Of course as a drinking water source it could be a little crappy for a while.
