When I recently started taking Eliquis (blood thinner) I was told that I

had to give up my arthritis med (Meloxicam) since it is an INSAID. Meloxicam while being and INSAID is not a blood thinner. My cardiologist overruled me by saying that the Meloxicam is classified as an INSAID and it didn't make any difference that the Meloxicam is not a blood thinner.

I had been taking Meloxicam and baby aspirin for years with no problems.
