But that is just it though. The G5s can't play a "strong" schedule because
of the biases that already exist in the system. Right or wrong, right now the 5 power conferences are perceived to be "stronger" than the 5 non-power conferences. Even if a G5 team goes undefeated playing its 8 conference games and 4 non-conference games all @ a quality P5 school, it will still be viewed as being the 6th best champion (maybe 5th if it is lucky) among the 10 FBS champions due to the perception of its conference schedule. Unfortunately, the only way a G5 team can play a "strong" schedule right now would be to either join a P5 conference and no longer be considered a G5 team or become an Independent and play at least 8-10 games against a quality P5 team.
