ESPN has been showing their cards about the BigXII for a while now.

They did so with the Longhorn Network. It continued when they refused to offer more money for any additions in 2016. They showed it again when they agreed to paying for the Big XII Championship game in exchange for removing expansion language out of the Big XII contract with ESPN. ESPN doesn't want to pay the Big XII. And without Texas and Oklahoma, they really won't want to pay the Big XII. Fox is backing off too.

I don't see this with the ACC and ESPN. ESPN signed up to run a cable channel for the ACC for 20 years. Disney is working hard to get the ACCN distribution. We are basically down to Comcast. To get more we have to grow our audience for the network. We're in non-ACC states with the network, but, we make more with a team in the state.

As we get through 15 years we can revisit, and some teams may want to move as we get closer to 2037, but our option now is to increase the revenue for the ACC Network how we can within reason.
