A full merger though? Not sure. Plus it looks like they don't think the money is there for it.

Worse case scenario is B1G raid of USC and select others.

Will dwarf ACC.

If B1G does take 6, it will be interesting to see what happens with the other 6. If they joined forces with some of the BigXII leftovers, might be a decent league. Also, if schools like Colorado and Arizona State get left behind, the ACC might want to go treasure hunting through the Plaines, the Mountain States and the Southwest for a nice Western Pod or Division: Oklahoma State, Colorado, BYU, Arizona State, et al? Not too shabby.
