Is a soccer goalie allowed to use his/her hands in this situation?

The other team hits a corner kick into the box, where a defender plays it off of their thigh into the air.

Can the goalie jump up and grab that ball?

And does it matter if the defender is good with balls in the air, and made that play on purpose, vs a defender who's not good in that situation and it was more of an accidental deflection?
