My take

It may be in ND's best interests to sit tight as an independent, renew it's TV deal with someone in 2025 and wait for the dust to settle.

If the ACC is already breaking apart, then the ship is sinking and it is time for those onboard to get on lifeboats, not ND to come by with more passengers.
