I really don't get the connection between money and character


Well....because there isn't one. A good guy with a check for 100k is a good guy. A jerk with a check for 100k is still a jerk. For those that are critical of it, I question how many pro athletes you guys actually met? Several live in my neighborhood including one of our best Hokies and I'd have to say they all seem pretty normal to me. The prima donas of the world are prima donas with or without the money. One of our rising NFL stars is Logan Thomas, who by all accounts seems to be a good family man and was always a good teammate. I think for whatever reason when it comes to NIL we think its going to turn most college players into the personality of a diva NFL WR or CB. I am of the opinion that those guys were always that way. And like any other industry, if your talent and the benefits you bring are so significant that no one cares you are a jerk. You pretty much get a pass.
