I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate the DMV in Virginia ...

The vehicle my daughter drives (but it is still in my name so she can avoid some costs) is no longer garaged in NoVaSux. She has a job in Virginia Beach and lives down there at least temporarily. I have been asking her for weeks to get the emissions test done so I can renew the vehicle. She finally went on Saturday and found out that they do not do emissions inspections in Virginia Beach. However, an emissions inspection is required in order to renew the vehicle registration because the DMV still thinks the vehicle is garaged in Loudoun County. All that I get ... rules are a bit silly but whatever. The problem is you cannot update a vehicle's location online. Apparently it has to be done in person ... and her registration expires on Wednesday. I am on vacation starting Wednesday so I really have no idea what to do next. Hoping her car doesn't get towed while we figure this out.
