Do you remember The Dude of WV? He made all kinds of outlandish claims about WVU, the ACC and the BigXII. There was big rumors that the BigXII was going to take Clemson, FSU and two others. Also a bunch of other nonsense about how the ACC really wanted the WVU and the like. I even forget all of the details. But of course it blew up in his face with the ACC signing a long term Grant of Rights etc. Anyway, he was public enemy number one of conference realignment talkers. And he was basically this nobody.
