you see a clip from the "Evening Star" presuming the Washington Evening Star when cities had morning and evening newspapers, see a bunch of way back before my day names except a couple of them aren't, I was only a degree of separation from one of them. (Gil?) Hodges too, Senators coach til '67. (remember the name, not sure I saw him live)

For some reason it made a big impression on me, still got a good visual. I could see that with your dad too, "I wonder if he's related to John Roseboro" and you're thinking "Who's John Roseboro"? Dad would have just looked at you if he heard that. Also, my understanding he was the 2nd guy to integrate MLB just wasn't going to get the press that Jackie Robinson did.
