Roku will be about $100 cheaper

I have an older (pre-4K) Apple TV, and navigating the apps is seamless. It really does work well, and the only downside is price. I connected it to the TV in my bedroom, but I usually use the built in features on my Samsung to go directly to Amazon Prime. This works far better than the Amazon "smart" link in my older (1080p) Samsung. The older one blew chunks, and was the reason I bought the Apple TV in the first place. (I'm talking about the device, not Apple's streaming service.)

I have an Amazon Cube connected to my 1080p TV, and that works well, but I usually just connect it to Amazon Prime and WatchESPN. The latter is exclusively for Hokie sports.

I've heard the Roku works well, but never owned one.
