Doesn't seem the case with men's swimming, water polo

gymnastics, lacrosse, etc..

Iowa is totally committed to promoting wrestling -- and probably won't be dropping their men's program any time soon.

However, women's teams have not protected the other men's teams referenced above in any way.

Pretty much any new opportunity for women sports seems to have fanfare, even at the expense of men's teams. At least that's been the case to this point.

I cannot think of a clearer example than UCLA no longer having men's swimming. That seems unreal, but it isn't.

I guess I'll have to wait and see, but this idea does not seem supported by what has taken place to this point with title IX.

Just looks like a new opportunity for women, more political correctness, some virtue signaling, and maybe an unbridled attempt by Gable to promote the sport.
