Incorrect. Title IX was implemented to prevent discrimination against

gender. It does not specify women. It just so happens that but major majority of discrimination occurs against women.

However, if a man was fired because he was a man, or denied an equally opportunity educationally/athletically, he'd be protected under Title IX law.
