Are you familiar with Shifty Shofner's story? Also captured on Corregidor.


If you ever read the companion book to the HBO Series "The Pacific", his story is documented in that. (The TV series concentrates on the Marines, but the companion book has a couple additional story lines not covered in the TV series).

Glad your great uncle was able to make it thru.
