remaining at eight conference games per year are necessary for ND to join the conference. That still lets the IRISH play Navy each year as teams in the same division or as cross division rivals and leaves four games against "national" opponents. IMO a lot depends on how Comcast and Disney feel about the sharing of monies from conference games played in South Bend.
Having said all that, I still see ND to the ACC in the foreseeable future as less than likely
