How many poor choices will the ACC make?

The ACC is already weighted down by too many schools that won't or can't take football as seriously as most P5 programs in other conferences.

I love and admire the Naval Academy; I almost went there. Navy is unique. But Navy has a lot more in common with Wake Forest, Duke, Syracuse, Boston College and others than with Tech, FSU, Clemson, UNC and NC State.

If Notre Dame wants to join the ACC someday, that's fine. But let's not repeat the mistakes of 2003 just to gain a few more games against the Irish. Navy is not a good fit for the ACC or any P5 conference. Do not forget that the last good decision the ACC made with respect to conference affiliation was reluctantly taking in Virginia Tech.
