Thanks to all of you—the information and descriptions...

of your injuries are really helpful. Compared to some of you (biking, karate, snorkeling), my falling down backwards on the deck seems so mundane. Finally I went back to the ER yesterday and was admitted as a patient. Had an MRI today but really am not expecting it to say much other than “really banged up”! I think the plan is to send me to a skilled care place for a little while to work on PT to lessen pain and just give me time to heal. I’m okay with that. We have a 2-story house, with all bedrooms and showers upstairs. And my husband is dealing with memory issues, plus he broke a rib two weeks ago, so it was hard for him to take care of both of us. I’ve accepted that these sorts of injuries take time. Generally, I think I’m fairly tolerant of pain (lots of osteoarthritis and scoliosis going on). But man, does this ever hurt!
