Had a pretty good bike crash way back when even posted about it here on the lounge. Pretty banged up for a week counted about 13 scrapes on my body and yeah, all those internal things, took me a couple minutes to get into my car crossing over those intermediate positions where it really hurt, kinda had to drop myself into the seat, also took a few moments to stand up sorta stretching my back out. Doctors always say the pulls etc hurt a lot more than the broken stuff and that was true, nothing broken.

Yeah, about a week, I think you'll wake up one morning and it will have dropped a level overnight, I suspect a lot of the pain is those swelling and bursis inpinging on a nerve. Can you walk at all? I always found it ideal to keep the blood flowing, even suspect you sort of pump the blood out of bursis for a little while that way.

My only real advice is when you get better, might want to work out some sort of stretching exercise program for you back, whatever. doesn't have to be a big deal, eg, do a 15 second plank just to get those muscles to fire a bit. Anyway, been doing stuff like that since my bike crash and really haven't had much pain at all in those areas.

Have had codeine never really felt any sense of addiction, craving etc. but people are different, that stuff is there for a reason, one or two when you really need it "once to the well" I would think would be OK.
