My front gets a lot of sun on the top half near the house; toward the street there is more shade from a few roadside trees. This grass is more heavily established in the sunny area toward the house but continues into the shade as well. The more heavily shaded area has a different composition with thicker bladed grass.

I went over the lawn with the mower again to trim down the pulled-up tufts and it looks better, other than lots more brown visible than before dethatching. But hopefully it'll recover well enough. I have a bag of PA Sun & Shade mix, will probably use that for overseeding.
