Imagine how valuable it would be if instead of going to community college,

or traveling, or goofing off, the parent told their kids to do a couple days of research to find an on-line business they can get started with anything that interests them. Write a business plan... Then, the money that might have been used for the classes could be used to move into the business.

Lots of opportunity out there. And imagine how much they would learn form this experience. But then, you need a parent who is willing to help them navigate the decisions, and a student who is self-motivated.

But, it could do well and pay for college in the remaining years, or just be a great side-gig for other expenses.

Hell, maybe there is an opportunity for me to great a business model based on this.... Just being the advisor to the kids trying to do this on their own. Evaluate the plans and keep them to a schedule. Might already be something out there like this though. Probably called coaching of some sort.
