Its the money now..... unfortunately

Arkanas fitted with the SWC/Big 8. IT was their area. They blew over the Recruiting problems during the SWC. Also, most schools they had the resources to compete. Now, they love the SEC $$$, but really they are left behind....an afterthought. (BUT LOVE THE $$$)

Nebraska and Missouri is the same, but both won't move the money is too too good, but programs will never be competitive. Sane with Rutgers.

HOWEVER, from what I see, Maryland looks like they are embracing the big ten and beginning to straighten out football. Also, basketball has been competitive.

Conferences have to make sense. (BTW VT fits perfectly with the ACC, same type schools, resourcing, university size and geography .
