I realize that I'm probably in the minority...

but if Mehki is facing a substantial cut to get to 165, I'd encourage him to go 174 and focus on getting better technically without having to worry about weight all season. Despite his success at the junior level with little freestyle experience, realistically, he is not ready to take on the likes of Burroughs and Dake. The Olympic trials should have no bearing on the decision.
