100% right as well. Already in our discussion, but with extended family

We have school kids and elderly family on both sides. Each family has its own risk tolerance here and no COVID cases (knock on wood) so far. However, your situation is coming up even pre-vaccine. We social distance more or less based on the households comfort level. We are more open, my father in law least open to risk. This means it decides who comes in which house, sleeps over, etc.

We are also struggling with school choice. We want to send kids and that is great for my boys as their peer groups will be a school. However, my daughters friends are all scared to death of this virus and not sending their daughters to in person school. We anticipate that this will mean she has different rules if seeing them and how would that make a young girl feel? Do we keep her home as a result? Would it even matter if the boys go to school? How would those families view her/us if the boys went and she didn't? Could she play in that friend group?

Odd times and complex choices.
