It's not the same visit as a hometown place. Roanoke is a nice weekend.


stay. Usually I'd go right past it on the way to a game. We've enjoyed staying at the hotel every time we've been.

Then there was the time in the mid-70s when I met my parents there when they were attending a WW2 Seabee convention. Met Frampton and his band as they returned from doing a show in town. Gary Wright was the opening act.
