I kinda laughed when someone here asked what everyone's favorite fashion ..

brand was, Ralph Lauren? Todd Snyder? John Varvatos? whatever guy stuff is out there...I thought about it and realized it was "REI" and I laughed but mainly because it's true. And to be fair, these days a lot of technical wear is getting cut better, good form-fitting rain jackets instead of old school ponchos, but it'll cost you.

Read an article maybe last summer that active wear is slowly becoming accepted in urban environments and the fashion world. Uh, about time? So yeah, I think comfort and performance is slowly winning out and you're seeing more technical parkas and "urban" boots as a fashion statement. One of the few times I've been waaaay ahead of the fashionistas.

And wouldn't mind buying a few things because they are cool, but they still have to be functional.
