Stated this a ways back. Friend of friends wife died of the flu in Feb
I know, friend of friend stuff doesn't mean much. But 30 year old otherwise healthy woman with two kids catches a flu like sickness late January, early Feb. After several days of sickness, she went to the ER and was hospitalized. 48 hours she dies of respiratory failure. 30 year olds don't die of the flu in northern Virginia in 2020. Could it have been Corona? Highly likely I think.
The striking thing about the Corona virus is the global scope of it. Six weeks ago, there were Corona cases (not the beer kind) in 180 countries. I understand that Covid-19 is contagious. But with normal transmission of disease, how long would it take for a virus to go from a city in China to every corner of the globe? Four weeks? Four months? The fact that Covid-19 presented itself in 180+ countries tells me its been around longer then we think.
