I don't think you're ever going to win that argument.

Not saying I completely disagree with you, but some people will just say "well...Americans are pretty unhealthy to begin with", which is true to some extent. I think it's clear that this virus is more dangerous to those individuals that are already pretty unhealthy (thought it also isn't an automatic death sentence either). I think the viral load regarding exposure is a big factor as well which comes into play with healthcare workers (not that healthcare workers are necessarily a healthy bunch either). One of the most interesting aspects of Covid-19 to me is regarding the cytokine storms seen in some of the most severe cases.
