If you are going to use flu stats, use the right data
The article you linked is from 2018 and had very rough guesses. The data now is nowhere near 80,000. The CDC site shows the estimate for 2017/2018 flu season to be 61,000. Still a record high, yes. But not what you posted.
Also what good does it do to include car accident deaths when talking about a pandemic? This virus impact can be controlled and that is the whole point. Deaths can be avoided.
