Granted, he is not very demonstrative on the sidelines. Many fans want to see that, and I get the reasons why. I also would imagine, he is not the best small talker or schmoozer, at a meet-and-greet with fans. Even some of the more aggressive personalities coaching on court, can appear somewhat shy or uncomfortable at a social gathering.
The strongest vibe that I do pick up from him, is the "Girl Dad" vibe. His interactions with his players, look exactly like a father/daughter exchange, and that is with every girl on the team, not just his own daughters.
In today's crazy world, if my daughters were playing for a male coach, I want it to be a man I could trust, as well as a man they are comfortable with. Brooks seems to fit that bill, and then some.
This is just my opinion of his character, not his coaching.
