This is where I'm at too.

I've had DTV since 2007. My bill has steadily gone up over the years, especially since AT&T took over.

It used to be I could call every six months and get a premium freebie or a $20 discount off my bill. That stopped when AT&T took over. Right now it's up to $150/month and we're doing a trial separation. You can pause DTV for up to 5 months a year which we normally try during the summer months.

With the advent of Disney plus our TV watching was in the following order when not in football season:
- Netflix
- Disney
- Amazon
- Hulu when a couple new show released
- DTV for Hallmark and local news

We can live without Hallmark and the antenna works great for local news.

Going forward we'll live without cable and only have Youtube TV or Hulu live during football season.

The only caveat is watch your streaming data caps. We have crappy Shentel 50 Mbps service with a 500GB data cap. We're banging our heads on the cap and are likely to upgrade to the 150Mbps service with a 1TB cap for $20 more a month.
