I was DirecTV '96 to '16, then went to Comcast Xfinity

Reasons:
- Xfinity offered the fastest internet of any company in my area
- Once I knew I wanted them for internet, the bundles with TV programming and home phone service were excellent deals, and for 2 years
- While I had few complaints with DTV, it is true that if you get a storm (thunder, snow, whatever) with enough cloud cover you will lose your signal; it happened many times to us, usually for a few minutes up to 30 minutes (more with big snow storms)
- Also, and this is just me, it annoyed the hell out of me when I would go to Best Buy, be swarmed by DTV reps offering deals, tell them I had been a loyal customer for 10, 15, 20 years, and they would walk away - nothing for loyal customers!
- Finally, the Comcast remotes with the microphone, where you can tell it a channel or subject, or to do various things, are nifty and very helpful when I have older relatives visit
