Yeah, sounds like they are confusing their terms and just using "renewable"


as a catch-all for "clean."

Nuclear isn't renewable, but it is clean...or at least the pollutants can be captured, processed, and stored instead of dumped into the air or water.

But biodiesel, for example, is renewable but isn't clean until you run the exhaust through some extra processing. Even at it's cleanest, the byproducts are still water and carbon dioxide (vs. just steam from a nuclear plant).
