As someone who just purchased a home in the Blacksburg area, I'm not

shocked by this. Some of the houses out there that are being sold I'm not sure you could pay me to take them, but are priced well above $300k. Those Zillow values are not all that accurate by what our realtor told my wife and me, but I wouldn't be shocked if someone doesn't pay over $500k for that house in your example.
