If she wanted to play pro softball, then I figured she would have

to play in another country. The only reason I was considering the pro option as a reason to enter the portal is to help increase her exposure. If she ends up being a regular starting pitcher on a P5 team that appears on TV a lot during the regular season (i.e. SEC team, Texas, Arizona, UCLA, Oklahoma) and the team makes it to OKC, then her name should circulate more. Plus, there should be more "film" on her which can only help in her pursuit of a pro career. I am not suggesting that the impact would be as financially great as what you see in football or men's basketball. Although it could have some influence on whether she receives a tryout for the US National Team or not.
