I agree it doesn't make sense for the Big XII to expand outside

its footprint. However, would the Big XII want a South Division made up of only schools from TX? I asked because being a "TX Conference" is what doomed the Southwest Conference. I guess I don't see the Big XII making the same mistake as the SWC. Also, I don't think there are any schools in LA, NM, or CO that appeal to the Big XII. So that kinda forces the Big XII to look East of the Mississippi River or further west beyond the Rockies for potential targets.
