Like the two ND guys that post here say, they won’t do it until some

version of the Conference Champions only emerges. I always thought the Big 12 teams would be divided amongst the other Power 4, but an alliance with the PAC 12 could have the same effect and create a champion who makes the playoff 4. You still would have an 8 team playoff if the winners of those 4 games advance.
