Herndon to Pentagon is going to be brutal too


you're going with traffic the entire way, through Tysons, around the beltway, then north on 95 with everyone else. Other option is 66, but then you've got to carpool or pay tolls. On top of that traffic as well.
I'd look further in. 3K mortgage might be tough for a decent place, plus you'd have to put money down. But for 3K in rent, you can find something pretty good. If you want to be semi-close to Herndon, check out Tysons / Falls Church. If you wanted to be closer to Pentagon (since you're going there every single day and all), I'd look at Alexandria. Near one of the yellow line stops or blue line. I think there's a bunch of express buses that go to Pentagon as well from various places.

You familiar with area at all? Any kids?
