Why? Can she recruit? Can she manage?

Does she know all the in and outs of the game. Can she manage on game day? Does she know strategy?

It's one thing to be a great pitcher, it's quite another to know all the nuances of the game, and be able to teach/coach them, and be able to make multiple moves in a game, and to be thinking ahead, while still managing in the present.
