But even then, there are two things that bug me a little.

One, very little credit is given for the advancements we've already made. Do you realize the exhaust coming out of the stack of a modern semi can be cleaner than the air going into the engine (at least in a place like Southern Cal)?

Two, the planet would be a whole lot better off if we brought the rest of the world up to our standards instead of trying to better our own. We are at the point that even if the US became a true zero polluter, it wouldn't matter because China is worse than we ever were.
