So just bought a couple camp chairs from Steep and Cheap...
So one of you guys Edgeman? Kong? somebody mentioned them, only $54 at Amazon IF YOU WERE a PRIME member. Serviced by S&C.
Go to S&C hmmmm, only $47 That's interesting, but wait, there's more $40 each (I bought 2) at S&C overstock.
So, not sure what the moral of this story is other sites can build e-commerce sites and as long as you use a search engine instead of Amazon as your front door there are better deals. Amazon, as someone said, can manage the low profit margin for commodity items (including things from Chinese manufacturers that you can't get elsewhere b/c of their low costs) They're still trying to become the marketplace and take their cut of that instead of being the vendor.
Is there that much money to be made in ready made meals? Do they taste good? are they beans in a cello pack? It just doesn't seem like a market with a huge upside.
Kinda rambling now, but I can see them capturing commodity market, including say, Hanes underwear, which is pretty much the same wherever you buy it. but have a hard time seing them getting into niche markets that do strange things like fashion.
