Pet Sounds.


Paul McCartney & John Lennon both said this album was enormously influential on them. The Beatles albums released after Pet Sounds (starting with Sgt Pepper)are quite different from those before Pet Sounds.

The album had a major effect on the American music that followed. Some of the acts who have paid direct homage to the Pet Sounds album include Michael Stipe of REM, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and Radiohead.That, I'd say, is legendary.
