I've had both hands done...recovery was about 2 weeks. BUT...


it was about 2 months before I could do anything "physical" with my hands. Like putting my palms on a surface and pushing off.

I had the surgeries 1 month apart 4 years ago. Right hand first.

Both surgeries were successful. I'd say the worse thing by far, at least in my case, was the nerve was the nerve conduction study.

My right thumb never really got any better and it was found that I have basal joint arthritis. Right now I'm taking a cortisone shot every 3 months but my sawbones is saying surgery will be necessary when the shots no longer work.
