Just reality. Folks in the KNOW are lamenting how far behind we are.


Some folks who are tied to the coaching staff are openly complaining about the lack of resources VT has in the college football arms race. If anything, we're further behind than we were back in 97. you had a handful of elites back then and they were miles ahead of everyone else. However, today there's the SEC, B1G, and a couple of Big12 schools that have distanced themselves from VT when it comes to resources. It's recently been and will in the future severely limit our recruiting ability. Virginia Tech is no longer even being considered by the MAJORITY of kids with options in this state. I recall ten yeas ago about never hearing a Virginia kid say he was too bigtime for VT. Now, most of the 4 and 5 star types are pretty openly looking to the schools with more resources. THERE IS A GAP. And it's getting worse. the B1G is about to score from their new TV deal.
